Donna Giovanna I.G.T. is an exceptional wine originating from the picturesque region of Calabria, specifically from the province of Crotone in Cirò Marina. This wine is made from late-harvest white variety Greco, which thrives in clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 200 to 300 meters. The hand-harvesting of grapes takes place in the last week of October, when only overripe grapes are selected to achieve maximum flavor. After destemming and gentle pressing, a yield of 60% juice is obtained. The wine ages for two months in new French oak barrels, which imparts elegant tones and structure. The final refinement occurs for another two months in the bottle at a controlled temperature. The color of the wine is straw yellow with subtle greenish reflections, while the aroma is delicate and floral, with hints of dried apricot. The taste is broad and full with a pleasantly fruity finish of citrus and passion fruit. With an alcohol content of 13% vol., Donna Giovanna I.G.T. becomes an ideal companion to enjoy on special occasions.
