Lumare I.G.T. Tenuta Iuzzolini is a unique wine with a typical geographical indication from the picturesque region of Calabria, specifically from the Carfizzi "Motta" area. It is created by combining the Gaglioppo and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, which grow in ideal conditions on mixed soils with active limestone. The altitude of 200 to 300 meters above sea level and the Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers contribute to the exceptional quality of the grapes. Hand harvesting takes place in the first ten days of October, with a yield of 80 – 90 quintals per hectare. Vinification includes destemming, a short cold maceration on the skins, and gentle pressing with a yield of 60% free-flowing must. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature, ensuring the preservation of aromatic substances. The wine then ages for two months in new French oak barrels and another two months in the bottle at a controlled temperature. The result is a salmon pink wine with cherry reflections, a delicate floral aroma, and a hint of spice. The taste is harmonious, lively, and refreshing, making it ideal for pairing with light dishes or as an aperitif. With an alcohol content of 13%, Lumare I.G.T. Tenuta Iuzzolini offers a perfect experience for all lovers of quality wine.
