La Spina Santa is a family-owned Italian company based in Bova Marina, Calabria, specializing in products made from bergamot – a rare citrus fruit, over 90% of the world's production of which comes from this region. The Autelitano brothers, out of love for this "Calabrian gold," have created a range of original products – from the refreshing non-alcoholic drink Bergotto (awarded as the best new drink at the Vinitaly 2011 fair) to the digestive elixir Kaciuto made from fennel, bay leaves, licorice, and bergamot. In addition to production, the company also operates agriturismo and two of its own sales stands, where customers can taste the authentic flavors of Calabria right at the source.
